There’s always something unique about each profession and Enchanting is no exception. The unique trinkets, known as Alchemist Stones can only be equipped by players with Enchanting, allowing increased potion effectiveness. And finally, Enchanting can be a good source of gold by providing Transmutations; being able to create high-level items such as gems and materials from easier-to-obtain items.

Enchanting is unique in that it doesn’t require another profession to gather its materials. That being said, it is often paired with Tailoring as a second primary profession. Tailoring also doesn’t require any other profession to gather its materials and the items it produces are a great way to supplement Enchanting for gear to disenchant for materials.

All Blood Elf characters have the passive buff Arcane Affinity giving them a bonus of +10 levels to their Enchanting allowing them to use lower level recipes for longer.

This guide is intended to help level Enchanting from level 1 all the way to 450 in the most efficient way possible. However, some recipes used here may not always guarantee a skill level up (skill-up), the use of the “approximately” symbol (~) is often used to convey the average amount of crafts or materials needed.

But because of the Blood Elf Passive Arcane Affinity, as mentioned earlier, they are able to effectively level from 335 to 345 for free, albeit slowly.

This recipe is sold by Madame Ruby in Shattrath City [64,70] and the other recipe to convert Large to Small is learned from the trainer.
